La Strada, founded in the 1980s, is an Italian charity located in Milan which helps people in need. It provides services and develops activities in the areas of socio-assistance, education and care. More specifically it deals with the education of Italian and foreign pre-adolescent, adolescent and young people; the housing and training of single mothers with children, the assistance and care of children with family problems, the rehabilitation of minors who have committed criminal offences; the prevention of youth problems, the support to victims of abuse; the school and work orientation; the assistance and care to Aids victims; the support to people with psychiatric problems and homeless people; the training of educators and volunteers.
