La Tordera

LA TORDERA is a family winery from the hills of Valdobbiadene. The hills of Valdobbiadene are the original home of Prosecco and unquestionably the home to the best Prosecco. Since July 2019 the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene are officially the 55th Italian UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Vettoretti family have been grape farmers for four generations; until 2001 the family sells their grapes to others and then they bravely decided to build their own brand: LA TORDERA. This name sake is of an ungrafted rootstock vineyard planted in 1918 that we still farm today and is located on the CARTIZZE hills, few km far from the winery. Today we call our wines by the names of the vineyards we farm. We call our style Natural Balance. Rare in the world of Prosecco, we are 100% hand harvested and 100% estate grown and bottled.
