Laboratory of Plant Ecology

The Laboratory of Plant Ecology is a research group in the field of plant ecophysiology, which studies the physiological mechanisms underlying plant responses to environmental factors. We use and develop innovative plant sensors to measure various aspects of plant performance, such as photosynthesis, transpiration, sap flow, growth, and development. We also develop and apply process-based plant models as well as functional structural plant models (FSPM) to simulate and predict plant behavior under different scenarios. By combining sensor measurements and plant models, we create innovative plant-based control and stress detection systems that can optimize plant productivity and quality in various settings....
