Laeti

Laeti is the Poesie Venezianes Sustainable Project who started in February 2018. The Research begun through the exploration of the vast world of conventional and sustainable materials used in fashion, with the focus on understanding their impact on the environment as well as the techniques in shoe-making that need to be innovated as laether and other traditional materials are replaced with sustainable fabrics that are plant-based. In the course of our research we have identified multiple potential sustainable raw materials that have the ability to replace conventional materials. To date, however, only a few of these have reached the necessary requirements to actually replace materials such as polyester, polyurethane (used to create synthetic soles and yarns) and animal skin.
