Our Programs The Lambda Literary Awards, aka The Lammys: The Lammys identify and celebrate the best lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender books of the year and affirm that LGBTQ stories are part of the literature of the world. Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBTQ Voices: The Writers Retreat offers LGBTQ writers a one-week intensive immersion in fiction, genre fiction, nonfiction, playwriting or poetry, mentored by an acclaimed author in their field. LGBTQ Writers in Schools: This program connects authors with K-12 classrooms through in-class visits to discuss the authors work and LGBTQ issues.
