Latinxs and the Environment

Latinxs and the Environment is an initiative of the Center for Latino Policy and Research (CLPR) at UC Berkeley. This initiative seeks to spark dialogue and policy surrounding the relationship of Latinxs and environmental issues. Our core event is annual spring Summit, in which we will bring together students, academics, policy-makers, and non-profit organizations. An outcome of the summit is the construction of a roadmap and a streamlined concept paper that aligns organizations toward clear goals and policy action. As the main coordinator of the summit, the CLPR acts as the link bridging research and its action-oriented, policy outcomes
