Laughing Dragon is a 2D animation studio, founded in 2005 by CEO Ryan Sohmer and CFO Randy Waxman. Located in one of North Americas largest animation hubs, Montreal, Canada, it was crucial for Laughing Dragon to stand out in a sea of studios. With a team of over 100 dedicated animators working in Toon Boom Harmony and other internally developed suites, as well as in-house editors, writers, illustrators and producers, Laughing Dragon is a full-service studio. We are able to take any idea, story or script and develop it smoothly to the screen, no matter the platform. Laughing Dragon also has an extensive slate of internally developed IPs and concepts. In addition to studio and producer projects, LDS works extensively in the advertising and video game industries.
