The story of the Lausanne Palace begins in the Belle Epoque, an euphoric time for hotels. It was inaugurated on June 19th 1915 and ever since has been closely linked to Lausanne, being an integral part of the citys life. Much more than a hotel, the Lausanne Palace is an institution, a meeting place for the citizens of Lausanne as well as for international high society. It is not by chance alone that since 1980 the Presidents of the International Olympic Committee have taken up residence there. Over the last 15 years, nearly 60 million francs have been invested in the various improvements and renovations, allowing the hotel to offer every modern convenience whilst still retaining its Belle Epoque atmosphere.
