LAVA MUSIC was founded in Musicians Institute, Hollywood by Louis Lu, Kayeung So, and Shin Tang in 2013. Louis described the name LAVA as the sense of continuous passion and love. In 2017, we launched LAVA ME, the first unibody carbon fiber guitar in the industry. In 2021, we introduced LAVA ME 3, the worlds first smart guitar that integrates creative tools into a multi-touch display powered by the standalone HILAVA system. Now, we hold over 96 patents on audio, design, and manufacturing and are determined more than ever to empower musicians around the world with more powerful and enabling products.
