Mission Statement Our purpose is to promote health, fitness, and fun through skiing and other winter sports by providing quality facilities, education, and activities to the community. Vision We have a vision of Leavenworth as a renowned skiing community with an extensive interconnected trails system, skiing programs integrated within the local schools, families participating in an array of winter sport activities, modern facilities, and a world class Alpine and Nordic experience - while retaining the warmth and communal character that is the backbone of our organization. History Since 1928 the LWSC or some early form of it has been facilitating winter recreation in Leavenworth area. Traditionally the base of our operations has been up at the Ski Hill where today we offer two rope tows, a Nordic jumping hill, a tubing hill, and 8km of Nordic trails of which 5 are lighted for night skiing.
