The Lebalelo Water User Association (LWUA) has more than 21 years experience in managing water supply operations and related infrastructure projects in the Limpopo Province, with an excellent track record of quality service delivery and strong financial performance. We consider the proactive management of safety, health, environmental, quality (SHEQ) and security risks to be a key element of our risk management approach and corporate governance principles. LWUA is managed by a highly experienced and credible team. Since inception, we have operated with 100% uptime, very low water losses and over 130,000 fatality-free shifts. In terms of its history, LWUA was established in 2002 in response to discussions in the late 1990s between mining companies and various Government departments, as an entity of public-private collaboration under the National Water Act.
