Legacy International School - Sudan

Legacy School started as a small pre-school in Amarat, Khartoum, with just two classes and 40 children in 2012. As it expanded, it moved to a larger campus in al-Taif and has since built its permanent campus at Arkaweit, which now houses the Pre-School (Playgroup, Nursery, Pre-Reception, Reception) as well as the Primary (Grades One to Nine, thus far) and Secondary School. One of Legacys missions is to reintroduce books into Sudanese houses and get our children reading again. From Nursery onwards the children take a library book home. We teach them to respect and take care of the books and expect you to do the same at home. We teach using stories and aim to create a generation of children who love to read. We want them off screens and back to books and play.
