Keeping in perspective the mandate of the Bar Council of India for legal education the Legal Aid Committee of the BU Law School aims to engage in and develop projects and activities for the protection and promotion of the rights of the needy and bring the students face to face with the realities of law. The activities of the Legal Aid Committee include among other dissemination of legal literacy and knowledge to the society; assist in provision of pro-bono legal aid and conduct legal awareness camps; visits to prison, courts and juvenile homes; village adoption and organising relevant conferences and seminars. The Committee of the BU Law School aims to engage and develop in projects and activities for the protection and promotion of the rights of the needy and bring the students face to face with the realities of law. The activities include dissemination of legal literacy and knowledge to the society
