Life Air Rescue

Shreveport-based Life Air Rescue is a part of Acadian Air Meds network of rotor-wing operations. Life Air Rescue operates under a partnership between Acadian Air Med and Metro Aviation. Life Air Rescue responds to emergency scene calls and interfacility transfers within a 150-mile base radius covering North Louisiana, East Texas, South Arkansas and West Mississippi. The partnership expands Acadian Air Meds network, which previously included 9 EC-135 helicopters are strategically based throughout Louisiana. Air Meds Rotor Wing Operations are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems, the gold standard for air ambulance services in the United States. All FAA Part 135 aviation services provided by Metro Aviation, Inc., which maintains exclusive operational control over all aircraft.
