Little Rock Zoo

The Little Rock Zoo creates engaging experiences that inspire people to value and conserve our natural world. The Zoo is located in the heart of Little Rock in War Memorial Park and features 500 animals, many of which are endangered. It is accredited by the prestigious Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and is the only zoological institution in the state to receive this designation. The Zoo provides the best in animal care and conservation and actively participates in conservation projects locally and abroad to save wild species. As part of this effort the Little Rock Zoo focuses on conservation learning to educate the public about the importance of saving wildlife and wild places. The Zoo is located on 33 acres but its education programs with animal ambassadors are seen throughout the state. The Zoo is committed to animals and to ensuring their long-term survival.
