Local Government Common Services (LGCS) is a joint venture between several Councils in Southern Tasmania. LGCS was setup to provide under resourced Councils with the ability to provide quality, equitable service provision to their communities and to enable Councils to realise savings through increased uitilisation of staff. The way it works: Councils with a gap in human resources or skill shortage have the ability to hire suitably qualified and experienced professionals from other participating Councils.
