It was first established in 1977 as a retail pharmacy named Lords Pharmacy (Retail) Ltd. In 1987, the business model was transformed, and the company shifted its core business towards importation, marketing and distribution of pharmaceuticals. The Company has since grown significantly which prompted a change in the corporate name to Lords Healthcare Limited in November 1996.
