The Lofty Company was established in 1954 by Mr. Mohamed LOTFY, specializing in the production of mens footwear. The LOTFY Company started as small workshop in Cairos El Ataba suburb. In 1962, LOTFY establishes its current day factory at the ElWaylee area in central Cairo. The family owned company establishes great success, in 1981 takes part in the creation of the Coochi Sports Shoes Company. To this very day the term Coochi is used by every day Egyptians when referring to sneakers regardless of brand. The Lofty brand becomes synonymous with quality & taste to the Egyptian people, & in 1985 the family expands its activities to include The Lofty Collection, producing female footwear & handbags, catering to a much neglected segment in the Egyptian market, and also LOTFY uniforms is launched.
