Nationwide network of 17 purpose-built hospitals, with state of the art equipment and 39 Community Eye-Health Centres/outreach clinics in all the 4 provinces. LRBT is the largest provider of eye-care in Pakistan. * Since its inception 26 years ago, it has treated over 22 million patients in OPD & performed over 2.2 million major and minor surgeries. * LRBT treats 1 out of every 3 eye patients visiting OPD in Pakistan. * LRBT performs 1 out of every 4 eye surgeries carried out in Pakistan. * LRBT is the major contributor to the reduction in the prevalence of Blindness which has declined by about 50% since 1989. * In 2010-11 over 2.2 million patients visited OPD in LRBTs 17 hospitals & 39 clinics and 208,796 major & minor surgeries were performed.
