Luigi Giussani Institute of Higher Education (LGIHE) is an innovative learning space whose aim is to use research to respond to educational gaps and to influence policy and quality of education in Uganda through an encounter that starts with the discovery of ones inherent dignity. All these efforts are geared towards igniting dynamic change in learners, thus rendering them protagonists in their lives and environment. From its humble origins as a grassroots organisation, LGIHE has grown to be a leader in the higher education sector in Uganda, becoming a fully registered social enterprise in 2009 and obtaining accreditation as an institution of higher learning by the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE) in 2013.
