Lusubilo Community care

Lusubilo (which means Hope) was established in 1997 by Late Sister Beatrice Chipeta, a Rosarian Sister. The late Sister Beatrice began to visit the villages in Karonga and worked with communities assisting the sick and orphans, as a pastoral activity. That gave her the passion to establish an entity that would support the orphans and vulnerable in the community. Lusubilos mandate is to motivate and empower communities in order for them to promote an environment where orphans, the needy, and the elderly are fully cared for, and actively participate in the process.
