Our story begins in 1981 in Piraeus, when Lydia Mar Shipping was established as a ship management entity by Aug. Bolten Wm. Millers Nachfolger of Hamburg/Germany, a seventh-generation family-owned shipping company with a history of well over 200 years. Our company started up with crew management for mainly German clients but swiftly broadened its customer base beyond Germany, and soon Lydia Mar successfully ventured into performing the technical, commercial management as well as chartering & voyage operation of handysize bulk carriers, but also multi-purpose and heavy lift vessels.
