It started out as a sole proprietor named M2 Needlecraft Enterprises in 1987 and was incorporated as M2 Creative Inc. in 1994. Through the years, operations steadily grew due to its consistent high quality sewing workmanship. By 1990, it exported ladies garments to Japan and on 1994, it exported infants and childrens wear to the USA. The brand name, Michel Andre was first introduced in 1991 and sold formal suits and casual woven polos to SM stores. In 1994, it began to change its business model and started retailing the brand as a concessionaire in different Philippine department stores; selling its own line of mens formal wear.
