Macao Government Tourism Office

The Macao Government Tourism Office referred to as MGTO, is a service charged with pursuing the overall goals defined for the Territorys tourism Sector. A Director who is assisted by two Deputy Directors leads the MGTO. In the chase of its duties, MGTO has 5 sub-divisions. They are: Licensing and Inspections Department; Promotion & Marketing Department; Product Development & Special Projects Department; Research and Planning Department and Administrative and Finance Division. MGTO also has under its auspices the Tourism Activities Center abbreviated to CAT, which is equivalent to a division. CAT is responsible for promoting and supporting meetings, exhibition festivals and other events of tourist interest. Within the scope of the MGTO, there is a Tourism Fund that is regulated by separate legislation.
