Macdonald Center

Macdonald Center nurtures the body, mind and spirit of the forgotten poor in Old Town Chinatown by building connections and community. We believe no one deserves to live in isolation; as people, we have more similarities than differences; we all have inherent worth and dignity; and, the health of a community can be measured by how it cares for one another. The Center is the only program of its kind in Oregon and currently serves nearly 500 individuals each year through the following programs: 1. Visitation and Outreach: Every week, pairs of volunteer visit our members in their homes, offering support, connection and friendship. 2. Connection to Services: Any of our members are able to access our Support Services program, which can help connect them to additional health, medical, housing or public assistance resources. 3.
