The Mechatronics, Control and Robotics (MACRO) Research Group, at the Departments of Electronic Engineering and Electrical Engineering of UFMG, was founded in 2014 by professors Bruno Vilhena Adorno, Guilherme Vianna Raffo, and Luciano Cunha de Araujo Pimenta. The MACRO Group currently consists of a multidisciplinary team comprising seven professors, the coheads Guilherme Vianna Raffo and Luciano Cunha de Araujo Pimenta, along with professors Armando Alves Neto, Bruno Vilhena Adorno, Gustavo Medeiros Freitas, Janier Arias Garcia, and Vinicius Mariano Goncalves.
