MAFISCO

Mangagoy Fishermen MultiPurpose Cooperative (MAFISCO) was established on August 8, 1994, initially composed of 17 members who were mainly small fishermen dislocated and affected by the imposition of fishing regulations and local ordinances strictly implemented by the Local Government Unit (LGU). It was registered with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) on February 1, 1995 with registry No. 3547-DVO and was issued a new Certificate of Registration with No. 9520-13005809 under RA 9520 or the Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008 on January 7, 2010 with the purpose to promote Self Reliance, Entrepreneurship and Innovation among its general membership. MAFISCO harnesses members shared resources and utilize them to uplift their lives.
