Main Library Aarhus

The Main Library in Aarhus dates back to 1934. Today it is an updated and modern center for learning and culture for citizens of all ages and backgrounds. The library and its staff offer and promote all media regardless of platform, facilitate e-learning, give IT introductions, as well as organize exhibitions, concerts, debates and literary events. Innovation has always been a high priority. In recent years, user involvement has been the focal point in various projects on both local, national and international level. At present, all our creative efforts are put into our future library. In 2014, the new building on the waterfront of Aarhus will be completed in which the Main Library will be transformed into a spectacular Urban MediaSpace named Dokk1.
