Maisha Microfinance Bank is the 13th bank to be licensed by Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) as deposit taking entity (Microfinance bank) to offer banking service. Since its inception, the bank has grown tremendously over the years. In 2020, the bank registered 96 percent annual growth rate in terms of assets base from Kes.170million in 2016 to Sh1.67 billion. Since 2016, the bank has also disbursed more than Kes 1.4Bn in loans and is home to more than 500,000 customers. To date, we also pride ourselves as the first Microfinance Bank to roll out a telco-backed Mobile Savings and Loan Product on both Safaricom and Airtel networks.
