Majlis Daerah Marang

The Marang District Council was established on January 1, 1981 when all Local Authority Administrations were reorganized. During the establishment of the Marang District Council, it covered only two (2) mukims, namely Rusila Mukim and Pulau Kerengga Mukim. Its area is 43.10 square kilometers containing 13 villages. However, on February 15, 1996, the area of the Marang District Council was expanded to the entire Marang District, covering an area of 666.54 square kilometers
