Makalu Optics

Makalu Optics develops low cost, long range 4D LiDAR systems for autonomous vehicles (cars, drones, robots) and other applications. Resolution, Reliability and Cost Structure LiDARs are used by autonomous vehicles to build a 3D map of the environment around the vehicle, and allow it to navigate without the use of human intervention. LiDARs are considered by many car companies as crucial for achieving full autonomy. Despite work done by various companies, there is still no one LiDAR design that has the range, resolution, reliability and cost structure that meets the requirements of the industry, certainly not under adverse weather conditions and limited visibility.
