Manipur State Co-operative Bank Ltd

The Manipur State Co-operative Bank (MSCB) Ltd. was established on 24th June 1956 and registered on 2nd July 1956 with 77 members comprising of 33 Societies and 43 individuals under Regd. No. 1 of 1956 under the Manipur Cooperative Societies Act, 1947 which was subsequently replaced by the Manipur Co-operative Societies Act, 1976 with jurisdiction over the entire State. The bank commenced banking business on the 24th March 1958. The bank is licensed under Section 22 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (AACS) under No. RPCD. Guwa/2011-12/SCB-2 dated 29th March 2012. Being the apex bank of the State, MSCB Ltd. assumes a key role in the cooperative credit structure in the State and has been providing Short Term [Seasonal Agricultural Operations(SAO), Kisan Credit Cards (KCC)], Medium Term and Long Term credit to the Agriculturists (Dairy, Poultry, Piggery, Pisciculture, Pump Sets, Tractors, Power Tillers, Duckery) and other Schematic lending.
