Mariborski vodovod

Mariborski vodovod (Maribor Water Supply) is a public service provider, owned by the Municipality of Maribor and 15 other local municipalities. The companys main field of operation is water infrastructure management & maintanance incl. collection, purification and distribution of drinking water, providing distribution of more than 13 milion m3 of drinking water annually for more than 180,000 residents in its operational area, thus covering 10 % of the entire country. Mariborski vodovod distributes fresh water for more than 120 year (from 1901) and is operating with the largest water supply system in Slovenia. Fresh water is collected from 49 wells and supplied through 1638 km of pipeline. The company has an excellent status on the local and national level and cooperates well with other infrastructure and public service providers, local communities, owners (municipalities), universities and faculties as well as with the private sector
