Harold and Ida Markman opened their first jewelry store in October 1976. Their plan was to provide their customers with the best quality and best service at the best price. While this is an idea that a lot of companies claim is their goal, Markmans made this the foundation of their business. This concept is an ongoing promise shared also by their son, Steve Markman, who joined the team in 1978. As will happen when a business fulfills its promises, customers have continued to make Markmans their source for special moments.
