Marlo started its operations in 1997 under the name LogIT a.s.The business originated from EU projects in the area of transport and logistics, with a specific focus on issues related to Short Sea Shipping and door-to-door transport operations utilising waterborne transport. Marlo staff have participated in or led a number of EU projects: IPSI, TRAPIST, Advances, Marqual, MTCP, REALISE, PROMIT, INFOLOG, Themis, D2D, and FREIGHTWISE for DG VII/TREN, and ERAMAR, INTEGRATION, and CREATE3S for DG Research. Marlos business idea includes commercialising the results of RTD projects, and the company has been involved in establishing new businesses on the basis of EU research.
