The MAS aims to be an international and groundbreaking museum about global connections between people and collections from diverse worlds of thought and life. With a stream of stories, viewed from multiple perspectives, we engage everyone curious about the present, past and future of Antwerp and the world. The MAS works with the public and partners, nationally and internationally. The diverse collection ranges from history, art and culture of the port city of Antwerp, through international trade and shipping to art and culture in Europe, Africa, America, Asia and Oceania. The MAS is anchored in the city itself, because you can find the whole world there too. It is part of the museums DNA to set up strong and innovative participatory projects with the many layers of Antwerps super-diverse population.
