Mascott Corporation was created in 1989 when Markers Restaurant opened in the Harborside Financial Center in Jersey City, New Jersey. Today, Markers offers casual American cuisine in a cool, hip environment that caters to business clientele and has a vibrant after work happy hour. Markers is also a perfect venue for private events and parties. Mascott also operates Markers Express located adjacent to the restaurant. Markers Express provides takeout and delivery options for breakfast, lunch, and late afternoon snacks. Express features a Kobricks Coffee kiosk, freshly baked breakfast items, a specialty salad bar, signature sandwiches, paninis, burgers, soups, and dessert items. In 2009, Mascott embarked upon another exciting venture: Smashburger. Forbes Magazine named Smashburger Americans Most Promising Company in November 2011.
