Matrix Specialty Lubricants b.v. was set up by a group of enthusiastic professionals. After working for major oil companies for many years we felt increasingly uncomfortable with the culture within these companies. In our opinion they were too large and acting slow, in a very impersonal manner. When several of these companies merged, their way of working with customers worsened even further. Furthermore, they often reduced or minimized R&D activities which resulted in less new product development.
