Mauritius Cargo Community Services Ltd

MACCS is a public-private partnership that has been appointed by the Government of the Republic of Mauritius to build and manage the Cargo Community System (CCS) and has been incorporated in January 2008. MACCS operates the CCS system to secure and facilitate trade operations in Mauritius. The existence of MACCS replies to the national objectives of improving the Competitiveness of Mauritian products, developing Mauritius as a Regional Trade and Transport Hub and implementing the World Customs Organization SAFE Framework of Standards. These being response to overcome a formally prevailing context of low visibility on the whereabouts of the various imports and exports and the need to chase up for information and feedback with different stakeholders and actors of the logistics supply chain.
