Mayo is a platform with purpose. To help people help each other. Mayo started with a simple idea. That the people nearby us are the people who can help us the most. Technology has given us so many avenues for communication, but it has also made us feel even further apart from our communities and our neighbors. You can talk to a stranger across the globe, fund a kickstarter on another continent, or even date someone who lives in another state, all thanks to the magic of technology. Yet were often even more disconnected from our own neighbors now that we have a phone or a computer to serve as a barrier. Mayo seeks to remove the social barriers to asking and offering for help. Connect people with the people who can help the quickest the people nearby. We believe in a world where you can talk to anyone freely, ask for help, and feel better doing it
