Located in the state of Guanajuato, Mazda de Mxico Vehicle Operation (MMVO) was established in September 2011 as a joint venture between Mazda Motor Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation. Mass production began and was officially inaugurated in January 2014. MMVO is Mazdas largest plant outside Japan, creating jobs for 5,200 employees.
