The Mazumdar Shaw Medical Foundation as a nonprofit section 25 company was established by Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw in 2013, with the aim of establishing advanced cancer care infrastructure accessible to all, promoting translational research with a focus on India, and provide philanthropic support to cancer patients. The Foundations compassionate care unit, Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Outreach Program is committed to helping underprivileged patients. The Mazumdar Shaw Medical Foundation compliments the philanthropic vision of Narayana Health providing a community outreach program and translational research center, MSCTR.
