MEDGAL was founded in February 1982 by its current owner, M.Sc. Eng. Jozef Borowski. Initially, the company focused on precision mechanics, but from the mid-1980s, it shifted its efforts towards the design, production, and sale of medical devices. In the 1990s, we took a significant step forward by launching the production of our first orthopedic implants. What started as relatively simple designs soon evolved into increasingly complex and technologically advanced solutions. By the mid-1990s, MEDGALs design and technology department embarked on intensive research and development aimed at creating innovative intramedullary locking nails for the treatment of long bone fractures, as well as the surgical instruments needed for their implantation. In 2020, MEDGAL reached a new milestone by becoming the first Polish company to offer a complete, 100% Polish-made total hip replacement implant.
