Medgar Evers College is a comprehensive college (offering baccalaureate and associate degrees) of The City University of New York. The College was officially established in 1970 through cooperation from educators and community leaders in central Brooklyn. The College is named after Medgar Wiley Evers, who was assassinated on June 12, 1963.
