Melrose Cafe & Bar is an independently owned & operated Calgary Restaurant and Bar. The Melrose story began on October 1, 1991, when Melrose opened its doors and began serving guests in Calgarys soon-to-be-trendy 17th Avenue neighborhood. With a focus on great customer service, a commitment to continually renovating and re-creating the space, Melrose has proven to be a staple in the Calgary community. When the Calgary Flames battled their way to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2004, fans gravitated to 17th Avenue, packing restaurants and bars to cheer on their hockey heroes. Located at the centre of the cup fever was Melrose, which welcomed thousands of patrons in to watch the games, securing its place in local history by becoming the Heart of the Red Mile.
