Ryan Lewis launched Meta Designs in 1999 with the desire to provide the highest quality, most unique metal work for its clients. A native New Yorker and third-generation craftsman, Lewis apprenticed in an ornamental welding shop for over two years before starting his company. After starting the company Lewis worked as a sushi chef in the evening for the next few years to help build his business. His strong work ethicand a strong eye for the artshas helped Lewis understand and respect the processes of design and development required for a finished piece of work. But for Lewis its not just about the finished product. An artist in his own right, Lewis does a majority of the design, and in the process establishes personal relationships with his clients.
