Methodist ElderCare Services is an affiliate of the West Ohio Conference of The United Methodist Church that provides quality housing, health care and services for seniors in Central Ohio. Incorporated in 1967, Methodist ElderCare Services continues to be a not-for-profit Ohio corporation that seeks to understand and meet the unmet needs of older people in Central Ohio. Wesley Glen is located in the North area of Columbus. The community opened in and has operated since 1969 as a not-for-profit organization with 152 Independent Apartment which includes 16 Patio Homes. Wesley Ridge opened with Assisted Living in 1998 with 136 licensed residential care beds: Bishop Place having 65 studio and 1-bedroom apartments and 40 studio apartments in Special Care (now named English Garden) making it one of the first assisted living facilities on the east side of Columbus.
