Metropolitan is the largest privately owned and operated material recovery in the City of New York and one of the largest waste removal companies in the City. Located in East New York, Brooklyn, MPR operates 3 facilities 24 hours a day, processing over 15,000 tons of recycling material per month six days a week. Metropolitan is the only recycling facility in the City of New York with high-efficiency sorting capability enabling the company to extract high quality cardboard and other commodities from the waste stream which translates into competitive pricing and savings pass through to the customer. Due to its intensive post-recycling program, the company is able to substantially reduce residual volumes thereby minimizing disposal costs.
