METU Radio Club

METU Radio Community was founded on February 16, 1994. Its first mission was to start broadcasting, accomplished with Radio METU. Now our mission is to raise qualified radio people in Turkey. The METU Radio Society held the first Applied Radio Broadcasting Lessons in Turkey. Radio lessons, which started in the 1999-2000 academic year, bring Turkeys leading radio broadcasters and members of the Radio Community together at METU. As a group of a large university like METU that appeals to the most significant number of students, the Radio Community organizes entertaining and inclusive activities to contribute to the development of their social circles and to take an active role in social activities outside of school life: Our parties like ProbNight, our interviews at our school, being guests on the Talking Show programs of celebrities, such as Beyazt Ozturk whom many people closely follow, can be counted among these fusing activities.
