Mid-South Retina Associates LLC

Mid-South Retina was founded by Rick Sievers, M.D. at St. Francis HospitalMemphis in 1984. Dr. Sievers saw the need for an old-fashioned retina practice in the Mid-South region. His goal from the beginning was to provide excellent medical and surgical care for patients with diseases of the retina and vitreous in a family-style environment in which patients could count on the same surgeon taking care of their needs from start to finish. Drs. Gordon, Priester and Khamapirad all trained under Dr. Sievers during their ophthalmology residencies at UT Memphis and went on to do retinal surgery fellowships in other major medical centers. They were each drawn back to Mid-South Retina by the incredible experiences they had with Dr. Sievers during their residencies. Dr. Gordon joined Dr. Sievers in Memphis in 1996.
